First week of assembly: an evaluation

Hi everyone,

This week was the week I've been waiting for for such a long time: the start of assembly!

I managed to assemble about 10 this week, with about 2.5 days of actual assembly. That's not nearly enough but a lot of time went into the preparation and of course there are some startup problems. Besides, I still have today and tomorrow.

However, even if I manage to triple or even quadruple the output, this is still not as fast as I hoped.

In order to solve this, I cut the work into manageable pieces and will have some help from friends in the coming weeks. I hope to be able to finish all controllers by the end of the month. After that, I will only have two days a week available for Midique so it'll be best to finish before October 1st.

My living room turned into a (messy) factory so there will be no Netflix and chill for the coming weeks which is only contributing to the cause. The only activity that can be done in the living room right now is literally assemble controllers. I would like to thank my girlfriend for all her patience.

Shipping

Because I didn't use my DHL account since I registered, they disabled it 'for security reasons' and I no longer have access to it. I will just go to the post office for all German customers but for international customers, I might have to wait until DHL unlocks my account. This is because without it, I cannot automatically create customs forms and it would be a pain to create these myself. I hope that DHL will solve this quickly.

So conclusion: Some of you will be receiving their controllers next week, others have to wait a bit longer but things are finally moving!

KNTRL9 sold out

The last KNTRL9 was sold last week so there are no more available. I ordered 10% parts more than needed to account for failures so if there are less than 10% failed controllers, I will have extras to sell. I will let this know through this newsletter.

That's it for this week. I will probably not write another update until I'm done with all the controllers so I can focus on the assembly.
