Weekly update 6

Hey everyone,

Loads of stuff happened in the last week. Here a short summary.

Woodwork

Tino from Tischlerei Finke finished the first batch of walnut strips this week. Yesterday, I created the bed for the strips to fit in so that I can mill them in bulk. I also managed to do four test walnut strips for one controller until my time slot ended. I booked the CNC machine for next week to do the rest of the walnut strips. The oak will be in next week as well.

PCBs

The PCBs have been tested and have been ordered. They will arrive this week.

3D printer

The 3D printer is fixed and is up and running again!

Packaging

The order for the packaging has been placed and the prototype arrived at the print firm. I asked them for an update today so I'm waiting for their response.

Corona

Just when I thought corona was over, there apparently was a lockdown in some Chinese cities, including where the factory that makes the panels is. This means that they were closed for some time and all production has been postponed by a week. They told me that the production should finish this week.

Planning

I still expect to ship in spring 2022. Probably mid or end spring.

That was it for this week. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to send me an e-mail at koen@midique.com.
